Ben Way

Group Head, Macquarie Asset Management

Ben is Group Head of Macquarie Asset Management and a member of Macquarie Group’s Executive Committee.

Before assuming his current responsibilities in 2021, Ben held several other senior positions across Macquarie, including CEO of Macquarie Group in Asia. Prior to joining the firm, he was Chairman and CEO of Taiwan Broadband Communications and a Management Consultant with Bain & Company.

Ben is a member of the Board of Directors of Mother’s Choice, a Hong Kong organization whose goal is to see every child in a safe, loving, and permanent family.

Ben is a Fellow of the 2017 class of the Finance Leaders Fellowship and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network. He holds a Bachelor of Law and a Bachelor of Arts from Macquarie University, Sydney.

Leigh Harrison

Executive Director, Head of Real Assets

Leigh is Head of Real Assets for Macquarie Asset Management (MAM), a role he assumed in April 2021. He provides global leadership for the firm’s Real Assets business, which is the world’s largest infrastructure manager and a major investor in renewable energy, agriculture, and natural assets, supporting the growth of the business across new sectors and markets.

Since joining Macquarie, Leigh has served in several senior positions, including Head of Real Assets in EMEA, and was part of the team that established MAM’s first three European infrastructure funds.

Leigh is a member of the Macquarie Group Foundation Committee.

He holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Laws from Macquarie University, Sydney.

Martin Bradley

Senior Managing Director, Head of Infrastructure Real Assets – EMEA

Martin is Head of Infrastructure Real Assets in EMEA for Macquarie Asset Management (MAM). Within the region, he oversees the investment activities of the world’s largest infrastructure manager.

Since joining the firm, he has been heavily involved in major acquisitions, financing, restructuring, and divestment processes in the region’s infrastructure sector. Prior to his current role, Martin led a sector investment team and oversaw debt capital across the firm’s EMEA portfolio.

Martin has a wealth of prior experience in corporate advisory and financing from previous roles at Kleinwort Benson and J.P. Morgan.

He has served on the boards of a number of MAM’s portfolio companies in EMEA and currently sits on the Investment Committee for the European funds. He has also played a key role in helping to raise the firm’s decarbonisation ambitions.

Martin holds a Bachelor of Arts in banking and finance from Loughborough University.

Frank Kwok

Executive Director, Head of Real Assets – Asia Pacific

Frank is the Head of Real Assets for Asia Pacific at Macquarie Asset Management (MAM). In this role, he is responsible for overseeing the asset management activities in the region and is a member of the Investment Committees of numerous funds.

Since joining the firm, he has worked in various offices in Australia and Asia, leading the establishment and management of infrastructure funds across the region, including the Macquarie Asia-Pacific Infrastructure Fund series. He has overseen transactions and managed investments across various sectors, including transportation, utilities, renewable energy, and digital infrastructure.

He was previously the Global Chief Operating Officer for the business, where he worked closely with senior leadership on business development initiatives and business strategy.

Frank holds a Bachelor of Economics (Honours) and Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from the University of Sydney.

David Fass

Senior Managing Director, Head of Private Markets – Americas

David is Head of Americas for Private Markets for Macquarie Asset Management (MAM). He is responsible for overseeing the firm’s asset management activities across the Americas and sits on the Investment Committees of several of the funds. In addition to his MAM responsibilities, he is a member of Macquarie’s Americas Management Committee.

Prior to this role, he was the Chief Executive Officer of Macquarie Group’s operations in Europe.

His financial services career spans more than 30 years, with expertise founded in capital markets and advisory. His career began on Wall Street at Paine Webber (UBS) and JPMorgan (Chase Manhattan Bank). After that, he spent 11 years at Deutsche Bank, where he held various senior management and client-facing roles, including European Head of Global Banking.

He holds a Master of Business Administration from the Stern School of Business at New York University and a Bachelor of Arts in economics from the University of Michigan.

Elizabeth O’Leary

Executive Director, Head of Agriculture and Natural Assets

Elizabeth is Head of Agriculture and Natural Assets for Macquarie Asset Management (MAM). Under her leadership, MAM Agriculture and Natural Assets has become one of Australia’s largest diversified agriculture portfolios. The platform has invested heavily in the development of methods of measuring, reducing, and removing greenhouse gas emissions across its existing operations while expanding MAM’s investment strategies into natural climate solutions to increase carbon storage in landscapes and wetlands.

She has 20 years of experience in several senior corporate positions across Macquarie.

Elizabeth is a board member of the Australian Renewable Energy Agency, a member of the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures, and a member of the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation Agriculture and Food Group.

She contributes to several not-for-profit initiatives and is currently a Director of the Australian Climate and Biodiversity Foundation.

Elizabeth has a Bachelor of Arts from the Australian National University.

Phil Peters

Senior Managing Director, Head of Client Solutions Group

Phil is Head of Macquarie Asset Management’s (MAM’s) Client Solutions Group, focusing on new business initiatives, product development, fund formation, capital raising, and client relations.

Phil has more than 30 years of experience in the acquisition, restructuring, disposal, and ongoing management of infrastructure assets and boutique investment firms.

Before assuming his current role, Phil worked for Challenger Limited in London and Sydney and was responsible for establishing the Fidante Partners multi-boutique platform in Europe.

He was previously the Head of European Private Placements at Macquarie from 2002 to 2007 and played a pivotal role in the acquisition of several high-profile companies during this time.

Phil has a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) from Durham University.

Brett Robson

Executive Director, Head of Real Estate

Brett is Head of Real Estate for Macquarie Asset Management (MAM), driving the investment in and development of thriving workplaces, modern living environments, and optimised supply chains.

He is a member of the MAM Executive Committee, chairs the Real Estate Investment and Real Estate Management Committees, and sits on the Investment Committees of MAM Real Estate’s Global and Asia-Pacific opportunistic funds and several of MAM’s real estate funds in Europe and the Americas.

Before joining Macquarie, Brett spent 12 years at Lendlease, where he held senior roles spanning real estate fund, asset, and development management.

Brett is an advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion and wellbeing in the workplace.

He has a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Western Australia and a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment from the Australian Securities Institute.

Martin Stanley

Chairman, Macquarie Asset Management

Martin joined Macquarie in 2004 to support the growth of its international infrastructure funds management platform. Helping to establish and manage Macquarie’s flagship European infrastructure funds, Martin directed a number of landmark transactions for the business, including the acquisition of Thames Water, the largest water and wastewater company in the UK.

Martin was appointed Head of Real Assets in 2010 and led the world’s largest infrastructure manager as it expanded into new sectors, markets and real asset classes. In 2018 he was appointed Head of Macquarie Asset Management (MAM), where he led a team of more than 1,900 people managing over $US420 billion of assets on behalf of institutional and wholesale clients around the world.

In April 2021, Martin stepped down as Head of MAM and became Chairman of MAM. He remains on the Investment Committees of MAM’s regional flagship infrastructure funds and is Chairman of the NYSE listed infrastructure fund, Macquarie Infrastructure Corporation (MIC).

Before joining Macquarie, Martin worked for 18-years in the utility and energy sectors. Martin was a senior director at TXU Europe Group, an energy services business involved in generation, supply and trading of electricity and gas. He started his career at Manweb, the regulated power distribution network covering the North West of the United Kingdom.
